I'm not picking an argument here. I've seen what you can do.. and your work is amazing at least. I'm just stating where I'm coming from in all of this. Western New York is a little different in that aspect. Some people, are trying to gel together the 2 arts... in my opinion.. each art is different. And I myself, would not attempt to shoot video and stills at the same time. Dont know if one could accomplish that. Although.. the videographer has 60fps, down to 24fps to choose a frame grab from. And shooting hslr.. i'm sure the frame grabs are awsome, however, you cant shoot action for a still, or vice versa, i think you know what i mean. I'm just going by what some of the photogs in this area have said. Which should not make any difference to me anyway. I've been shooting weddings since 1986, back then, photogs seen you as a threat, and did not want to share the day with you. Again.. thats western new york. maybe that makes a difference.. dont know. I've been through every format known to man. Pushing 60 in age, and hate change... i apologize for that. Up till now, have not even considered hslr... just decided to judge it on what it does not have. Those things being, servo zoom, 60i, etc.etc., all those things i would have to "change" if i switched. Sooo i decided to research (which i should have done in the beginning, price tag and functions being the main factors). I stumbled upon Sony Alpha Series hslr.. well it seems sony is building these with the videographer in mind. 60i for action. 24p for film look. and yes... servo zoom. very, very affordable. Total manual or full auto control. and yes... auto hdr as well (if you want it.. not quite sure what for, maybe for the digitized shot the photog didnt get? just jokin). So.. I stand corrected in all of this, not afraid to admit when I "may be" wrong, and am looking for some suggestions.
Any opinion of these cams Mr Renaud? and for lens length.. (18-55mm etc. etc.) what would be the equivalent to 12x in a video cam? Would appreciate your help in this. Did'nt mean of offend anyone
