Those that have a Solitaire....why would my Solitaire be able to burn a dvd however it won't read a cd to load music. It did before but suddenly it quite reading to load music. The light comes on like it is looking but that's it. Any help will be appreciated.

I think that the burners have two lasers, one for CD and one for DVD (or possibly they re-act differently for reading and/or writing).

If you have (other) music already on the Solitaire can you burn a Cd out ?

Burners die and that makes it a distinct potential reason for your problem, but another possibility is the format of the music on the CD versus your OS version. Is it a commercially purchased CD and therefore has WAV files or something a consumer burned to a CD-R and are MP3 files?
